I hate my job: ways to make a difference

For many people, work and positive emotions are incompatible concepts. "I hate my job, but the need for money makes it go there." Familiar phrase, is not it? It can be heard from all sides. The problem is that the lack of jobs makes the majority cling to any, even ungrateful work, but there is a way out.

We will understand the reasons

Hate for work is a generalized concept. In fact, speaking this phrase, each person experiences a different range of feelings. Some understand hatred as dissatisfaction, others fatigue, still others injustice, lack of fulfillment, etc. To solve a problem, it is very important to figure out what exactly does not suit you in your work. Consider the possible options:

  1. You do not like getting up early in the morning.
  2. Work is too far.
  3. You have a bad relationship with your superiors and / or colleagues.
  4. You consider your work empty and useless for society.
  5. You are underestimated, do not reckon with opinion.
  6. Work takes too much time, why your personal life suffers.
  7. At the end of the working day, you feel excessive fatigue, it is too hard for you.
  8. You consider yourself worthy of the best.
  9. Despite the availability of work, you do not have enough money.
  10. You want to realize yourself in something else.
  11. You are tired of doing the same thing, you want a change.
  12. Your workplace is too cramped / uncomfortable / stuffy / cold.
  13. You have too much responsibility.
  14. They treat you unfairly: they delay wages, deprive of bonuses, force them to work overtime, substitute them, etc.

As you can see, there can be a lot of reasons to hate your job. Most likely, for yourself you will select several options at once. Take a piece of paper and write down the most exciting problems. Add a list of items that are definitely inconvenient, but less significant for you.

You can not change the situation ...

Change your attitude towards her. Of course, the easiest option would be to change jobs, but the reality is that there are not so many jobs, especially with good conditions right now. What remains to bite the bullet and endure? Not at all. Sometimes it’s enough to look at troubling problems from the other side:

  1. Head idiot? If, in your opinion, the workflow is built incorrectly, try to express your thoughts to the boss (of course, in business form). The leader thinks globally and minor flaws are often not visible to him. Perhaps your hint will be useful to him, and you will be awarded a prize or promotion.
  2. Do not develop relationships with the team? Think why. Perhaps you yourself are behaving inhospitable, annoyed, you think above others? Try to establish contact, having treated colleagues with something tasty, offering help, or think of another option.
  3. Not satisfied with the duties? Try to look at them as an invaluable experience to learn something new. In parallel, find an outlet in a hobby (drawing, singing, collecting, etc.). Dilute the workflow with various amenities, such as a break for a delicious coffee and cake.
  4. Does privacy suffer? Think about the fact that this is an excellent relationship check. Spend the weekend as rich as possible. After all, take a sick leave or a vacation at your own expense to devote a little time to yourself and your family.
  5. Not enough money? Money is never enough. Consider options for a side job, talk to the boss about the promotion. In addition, start recording expenses and incomes to understand where the funds are diverging. Very often, we spend a substantial part of the money on things that we can easily do without (coffee from a vending machine, fast food, cigarettes).
  6. Are you tired? Take a rest. Do this as often as possible. At work, do not forget about breaks, even if there is a lot of work. Rested body acts faster and more accurately than tired.
  7. Are you being dishonest? If justice is not possible, ask for support from family or friends. Share your experiences and it will be easier for you. Take the current situation as a lesson, draw conclusions on what to do to prevent its recurrence in the future.
  8. Are working conditions unbearable? Try to improve them as much as possible. For example, if the room is cold, bring a small convector. Wipe the dust, ventilate the room. If cardinal changes are necessary, state the essence of the problem and the options for its solution to the authorities.

Solve global problems and you are guaranteed to hate your job less. In addition, try not to concentrate on the negative sides. Find positive moments and write them out on a piece of paper.

How to get rid of the negative?

Constant dissatisfaction, anxiety, stress suck all the forces out of a person. As a result, he begins to see everything in black, often making an elephant out of a fly. On this basis, the hatred of work is growing by leaps and bounds. So what else can you do if you hate work:

  1. You will be able to relate to the problem easier when you begin to eat and sleep. Ensure that the sleep lasts at least 8 hours, and the diet contains fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, and various cereals. Start taking vitamins. Vitamin B6 and magnesium are especially important for mental activity.
  2. Soothing ones (Glycine, Valerian, Novo-Passit, Afobazol or others) will help to cope with anxiety and lack of balance. Drink them a course and "I hate to work" you will speak much less often.
  3. Fill life with new colors. A person spends most of his time on work, and if it causes a negative, it must somehow be compensated. Spend free time saturated. Go on a hike or in the woods on a barbecue, get together with friends in full company, sign up for advanced training courses or start to learn a new profession.

Author's advice. When a person says "I hate work", often he does not intend to change the situation at all. All he needs is to hear words of encouragement so that loved ones show participation. Unfortunately, constant complaints very soon bother others, and a person is left alone with a problem. Therefore, we must look not for pity, but for solutions to the problem.

Finally, I would like to mention a separate category of people who say: "I hate to work, life is created in order to relax." In fact, labor is not only a source of material means, but also the only way of self-realization and self-improvement. It can be different, from feeding the animals at the zoo, performing on stage and raising children to building cities and protecting the homeland. The main thing is to find something of your own, so to speak, a case for the soul. Sometimes he has to look for a very long time, to overcome obstacles, temporarily working in hateful work. But in the end, success comes after failure. Do not despair, look for an opportunity to change your life and everything will certainly work out!
