Kairos management and creativity

Good day to all! In the last article we discussed the topic of effective multifunctionality, which focuses on the diverse development of man. The advantage of this approach is manifested not only in the ability to adapt to changing conditions. This skill is indispensable for the creative development of personality. First of all, I mean creativity. We will talk about what it is and how it relates to the concept of Kairos management this time.

You can familiarize yourself with the standard interpretation of this term in thematic articles on the site. In this publication, I present my own interpretation.

Creativity - it is the creative potential of a person, which allows him to generate qualitatively new ideas and solutions based on accumulated knowledge and skills, but in their unexpected combinations and interrelations, in order to obtain benefits. Keyword "benefit". Not necessarily material. In any case, there is an ultimate goal and, accordingly, a motion vector.

This is how creativity is different from creativity, in its usual sense. After all, creativity, often bezvektornoe. It helps a person to express his thoughts, reveal his inner world, but not always socially significant result.

But creativity is a tribute to the epoch of "advanced management" and "unfrighted managers." If before people knew how to work, now they need to earn. It is not so important to sit in the office for 8 hours. You can work a couple of hours a week, but the conversion of these efforts will be many times more. In this, creativity often helps, allowing you to create new products or services, bypass competitors and win the hearts of consumers.

In other words, creativity is a mercantile creativity, pursuing specific goals. Agree, it fits perfectly into the realities of our market. Modern employers most often require creativity from applicants, which will allow them to increase profits. The usual work is not so interesting to them.

Creativity in the Kairos management system

We now turn to the main topic. Kairos management teaches the most effective use of each person’s skill. Creativity directly depends on a person’s intellectual potential, level of his knowledge and ability to form unexpected connections between them. The more diverse the erudition, the more unexpected conclusions can be.

From personal experience, I can say that the most creative decisions are made for those who have extensive knowledge. Or, the team of people involved from various fields of activity. Again, it is worth distinguishing between true creativity and "cheap show-off." Indeed, stereotypes of public consciousness often depict the image of a humanoid creator with an unnatural hair color, an abundance of body piercing and obviously deviant behavior. Usually, in bright self-expression, the creativity of such individuals ends. Much more important is the "filling" of the creative. And here the intellect plays the primary role. Next comes free-thinking and courage, because the creation of something new always requires determination from its creator.

Development of creativity

The Internet is full of all sorts of techniques that allow you to develop creativity. In most cases, these are children's educational games like "draw a pink elephant, and add green wings to it." You understand that an adult will not engage in such nonsense. At our age, various variations of brainstorming to which one of my previous blog articles is devoted are more useful.

Brainstorming helps not only enhance the creative potential of a person, but also brings real tangible benefits, helping to solve specific problems. There is only one “but” - one-man brainstorming will not work, we need a team.

How to be in this case? How to develop creativity on their own, so that without "elephants" and "wings"? With a regular sheet of paper. Since creativity is a conscious process, it is necessary to use both types of thinking (creative and logical). After all, creativity is a logical creativity.

So, for the development of creativity, and even with practical use, it is enough for an adult to take a blank sheet of paper. Next, draw yourself in the center (not necessarily a self-portrait, you can just put a full stop). Then take as many shooters away from "yourself" as there are interests and skills. At the end of each arrow, in a circle, contains a signature that indicates the specified interest or skill. After this comes the most important stage. It is necessary to tie all these separate words together in some way, to find as many points of contact as possible.

For example, someone works as a waiter, while taking a great interest in roller skating. Bingo! He can deliver orders on rollers, thereby inventing his unique selling proposition and rebuilding from competitors. Another waiter has a quadrocopter and with the help of this “shaitan-machine” he has the ability to serve customers, even without taking the fifth point from his familiar place. The third waiter as a child engaged in boxing and knows exactly how to get a generous tip. Though comic examples, they quite seriously demonstrate the algorithm of actions.

The main thing to remember is that in the modern, oversaturated world, every day it is harder and harder to stay afloat, because competitors "breathe in the back of the head." In addition, breathing is not only human, but also with a slight "scent" of artificial intelligence. So, without creativity can not do. And in order to become creative, it is necessary to develop in as large directions as possible. Narrow specialization can also take place, but not where genuinely original ideas are needed.

So that a dear reader does not decide that Kairos-management, effective multifunctionality and creativity only help in working moments, the next article will be devoted to everyday topics. Where exactly can you apply these skills in everyday life? How to learn this? Do decisions always "lie under the very nose"? We continue the study of Kairos-management and answer these questions together.
