I hate my job: what is it connected with and what to do

“I sincerely hate my work and go to it with difficulty” - approximately such thoughts overtake every third person in the modern world. Finding a place of service where they will pay well, and which will give positive, rather than negative impressions, is extremely difficult.

However, the very fact that people cannot stand the work that they devote most of their lives to is incredibly depressing. How to cope with such a common problem, and is it worth it to change the disgusting service for something new and really interesting?

Unloved work: what makes dedicate her life

“I hate my place of work, but I can’t quit it” - people often turn to a psychologist with this problem. In response, they hear quite a logical question: why then do you not change the scope of activities?

There are a lot of reasons why a person tolerates hateful service:

  • large salary that does not allow to leave the company;
  • habit;
  • fear of everything new and unknown;
  • presence of obligations to relatives or friends;
  • desire to continue the family craft;
  • sometimes unloved work becomes just a tribute to fashion.

Perhaps the most common reason why a person tolerates unloved work is a big salary. Is it possible to voluntarily quit when you get paid a lot of money?

However, in such a situation a person should think about what is more important for him: personal happiness or material enrichment. To get up to work every day with sad thoughts, to wait for the end of the work day to look back and without enthusiasm to return from vacation - is it possible to pay for this financial enrichment?

Another common reason is an elementary habit or the fear of disappointment of loved ones. It seems that the duty station has long been a part of life and there is no point in changing it. In addition, a person is afraid to disappoint relatives, let down family members, because a change of duty station can turn into financial problems.

If a person says “I hate work, what to do,” the psychologist usually tries to bring him to the logical thought of changing his job. Still, life is only one, and it is simply meaningless to spend it on unloved work.

How to find your favorite place of service

One more question for a million, people sometimes cannot find the answer to for years. How to choose a type of activity that will bring substantial income and deliver pleasure?

  1. It is necessary to pay attention to their own talents, unique skills that no one else possesses.
  2. It is worth remembering your childhood dreams, try to orient to the ideal profession, which a man was obsessed with many years ago.
  3. You can explore and their hobbies, because some of them can be the basis for finding the perfect profession.
  4. It is necessary to try yourself in different areas in order to understand exactly what is interesting and what you do not want to spend personal time on.

Perhaps the most important point is getting rid of stereotypes. Thus, in modern society, it was felt that, being artists, a person cannot receive a decent income. Such work is considered as not serious, which makes a talented creator look for implementations in areas that do not suit him.

Another important point is the dropping of the fashion reference. Professions such as lawyer, manager and doctor are always popular among young people. However, this does not mean that everyone can be realized in these areas. Sometimes, in pursuit of a fashionable specialty, a person forgets that he is actually interested.

Psychologists in such situations are engaged in projecting the future. They ask a person to introduce themselves after many years. He has money, but all his life he devoted unloved work. Typically, this argument has a sobering effect on the patient, forcing him to reconsider his own perspectives.

“I hate work, but only it can help me earn big money” is another mistaken opinion, often haunting a modern person. If he finds a sphere in which he can display his own talents in all its glory, then a decent income will definitely come to life. It remains only to set a goal and go to it.

How to love your job

Sometimes it is not necessary to go for drastic measures and quit. The only thing that a person needs is to make small adjustments to the perception of his own service.

So, what measures will help to love your own field of activity?

  1. It should not work meaningless, on the thumb, and always set new career goals. In this case, in the daily activities will make sense.
  2. Psychologists recommend making creative initiatives in their work activities, expanding the scope of responsibilities and adding to them their uniqueness.
  3. If a person feels that he hates work with all the fibers of his soul, he needs to take a vacation. Often, a break in activity forces you to take a fresh look at work.
  4. It is recommended to clearly separate work and rest without devoting too much time to work.

Psychologists are advised to always set tasks for themselves and try by all means to achieve their fulfillment. If a person does not do this, then senseless work will quickly bore him.

It is also recommended to competently alternate periods of work and rest, because then it will be much easier to return to new career aspirations.

What if you hate your work that you once loved? In such cases, psychologists are advised to analyze the reason for the changes. Sometimes a person experiences a negative to his activities due to a change of interests, plans, or even a team. Personality development does not stand still and what was interesting to her a year ago may seem pointless now. Their feelings, emotions and plans should always be taken into account, changing in their interests career areas.

What to do if a person hates working

“I hate to work in principle and don’t want to do it” - this problem is slightly different from the one discussed above. There is a separate type of people who simply do not want to work.

This may be due to natural laziness, lack of ambition and aspiration, not the desire to burden yourself with work. Psychologists advise such people to think about the purpose of their own lives, because everyone needs to go to something, work for something.

There are cases when the goal of a person does not depend on his career achievements. So, if a woman dreams of becoming a good mother or a parent with many children, her aspirations are directed to a completely different industry. This does not mean that her dreams are stupid or meaningless.

There are cases when a woman wants only to marry successfully, and nothing else she does not care. In such cases, psychologists advise to develop their own ambition, to find a different goal other than marriage and to strive for its execution.

However, most people still want to work and something to engage themselves in life. It is inconceivably difficult for them to find themselves, and therefore psychologists are advised to try and work in different fields, listen to the inner voice and not ignore their own talents. Sometimes such elementary advice helps to suddenly find not so much a job as a beloved, really valuable vocation.
