What is the difference between the object and the subject of the conflict?

Collision between individuals, organizations and social groups no cause.

Be sure to present the object and the subject of the conflict.

These concepts are often confused, their meanings are misunderstood. To understand what they mean, you should carefully study them.

Concept and structure

Conflict is called manifestation of contradictions between individuals, social groups, organizations.

This is a clash of interests, beliefs that arise in the process of social interaction.

Each side tries prove one's case, does not accept the views of the opposition. Often conflicts are accompanied by aggression, heightened emotionality of the participants.

The conflict consists of the following elements:

  • an object. The object is spiritual, social and material values;
  • the participants. They can be individuals, social groups, organizations and states;
  • social environment. This is the environment of the parties, their social class, position in society. The social environment has a huge impact on the parties to the conflict, taking part in the formation of their views and beliefs;
  • subjective perception of the situation. Each participant in the conflict perceives what is happening in its own way. Perception is influenced by character traits, experience, personal qualities. All these factors influence perception in a certain way.

In the process of conflict, participants seek to prove their case, but if they do not listen to each other, then compromise and reconciliation become impossible.

Object value

What is the object of conflict? Object of conflict call any existing element of the material world or social reality.

In other words, this is what caused the conflict situation.

In one case, it is easy to identify an object, but in the other it is quite difficult to identify it. It all depends on the situation..

The parties can join the struggle not only for material resources, values, but also for ideas and ideals. Without an object, conflict cannot exist. It is necessarily present, being more or less explicit.

Exists several types of conflict objects:

  1. Objects that can not be divided into parts, they can not be owned jointly with anyone. Then the situation becomes even more aggravated: each side seeks to seize a certain value completely.
  2. Objects that can be divided into parts, they can possess in different proportions both sides of the conflict.
  3. Objects that participants can own equally.

To better understand what the object of the conflict, should consider a few examples. The simplest situation: two children were playing in the sandbox and suddenly noticed a toy.

She does not belong to any of them. The first child wants to play with her in the sandbox, and the other is going to carry her home. Both claim to it equally, conflict arises.

The object will be a toy that is liked by both parties.

Another vivid example: the head of the organization announced that the best employee would get a bonus. As a result, employees work hard, there are several best.

Each of them claims the award to the same extent. There is a clash, the desire to prove to each other their superiority, the struggle. It is a premium and is object of conflict.

The concept and characteristics of the subject

Subject of conflict - these are differences, contradictions between the parties to the dispute.

The subject can be completely different, sometimes it is difficult to determine.

They can act values, social status and many other moments. To correctly identify the subject, it is necessary to thoroughly examine the situation. Without this element the conflict is impossible, it is necessarily present.

It should be remembered that the subject - movable quantity. If the conflict situation has dragged on for a long time, the contradictions fade and flare up with a new force, and the object becomes stronger or weaker, but never disappears completely. It remains as long as a conflict exists.

In order to thoroughly understand what the subject of a conflict is, it is necessary to consider some examples.

It often happens that the girl immediately liked two young people. One really loves the girl, wants to be with her, and the other is not ready to give up and give it to her opponent.

The desires of these young people are the subject of conflict.

Another vivid example: the organization wants to increase the duration of the working day. At the meeting, discussing possible innovation, there were defenders and opponents of the increase in the working day.

There is a conflict between them.. His subject is the motivation to prove his case and achieve the desired. Opponents seek to abandon innovations, and advocates argue that it is necessary.

Differences

The differences between the object and the subject of the conflict are:

  1. The object may be true or false, potential or actual, and the subject is always real.
  2. The object is the side of reality that is involved in the process of interaction with the parties to the conflict, and the subject is the differences that appear between opponents and try to resolve with the help of a dispute.
  3. The object is obvious or hardly distinguishable, and the object is distinct, it is much easier to identify it. It can not be false or illusory, it is always obvious.

Despite the fact that these concepts are similar, there are still differences between them, which are of particular importance. Remembering them, man will never confuse these elements. They cannot be considered identical, the differences prove it.

Which parties are involved?

Individuals, social groups, organizations, and even states can be parties to a conflict.

They behave actively in the current situation, try to express their views, prove their case.

It is worth remembering that the parties can be direct and indirect.

Direct sides include main opponentswhose interests and views are confronted, who first of all wants to defend their beliefs.

Indirect parties include those who support the main opponents.

They can support, incite on new disputes or to help resolve the situation.

Conflict participants

Participants in the conflict are actors who influence the situation, come forward with their own views and values, and try to convey convictions.

There are the following types of parties to the conflict:

  1. Initiators. They are the instigators of the situation, they manifest themselves most clearly. As initiators can act both separate individuals, and social groups. There are situations when the initiators subsequently cease to show themselves and fade into the background.

However, in most cases, the initiators retain their positions, continue to actively show themselves, acting on the enemy.

  2. The organizers. Develop a plan of action to combat an opponent. The organizers can be both individual individuals and groups of people. These individuals are trying to predict the dynamics of the conflict, seeking to get more benefits from the current situation and reduce losses. The influence of these participants is enormous: it depends on them how the situation will develop, whether its intensity will decrease or not.
  3. Acolytes. These are people who help the main participants of the dispute. They assist spiritually, financially, ideologically, and express support. They are peculiar inspirers who find the right words, act in a certain way, rendering aiding.
  4. Mediators. These are individuals with authority recognized by both parties. They seek to resolve the conflict, to resolve the situation. Their goal is to find a compromise, to help opponents reach an agreement. These people communicate simultaneously with two parties, have the same impact on each of them.

The role of the participants varies greatly. If one only inflames the conflict, finds new causes of the dispute, fueling it, then others seek to settle it, to find a compromise that will satisfy all parties.

The number of participants may also vary.. It all depends on the scale of the conflict. If this is a minor conflict that occurs between individuals, there will be a minimum number of participants, and there will be a dozen of them.

However, if we are talking about a major conflict between states, organizations, the number of participants can reach several millions. The larger the scale of the conflict, the more difficult it is to resolve it.

The object and subject of the conflict is one of the most important elements, without which these situations do not do.

These concepts are similar, but not identical.

They have a few differences, special features. Knowing the definitions and characteristics of these concepts, a person will never confuse them, he will be able to understand the current situations.
