What to do if you want to die

Each of us has black bars, hard moments, sometimes you just want to die. This happens at the moment when all the ways to cope with difficulties have been tried, the struggle for the right to be happy has taken away all forces. Inside there is a "black hole", an emptiness that absorbs all light and leaves only darkness ... Why live on? Death seems the only worthy way out. If you are on the verge, make another, one last effort to survive. How to cope with the desire to die?

Highlight the time when no one from close will disturb, unplug the phone and laptop. Take an album with photos, a notebook, a pen. Relax and immerse yourself in memories. How did it all start?

Here are your baby photos: a baby in a funny hat, graduation in kindergarten, first day of school, birthday, New Year matinee. But the first adult steps: graduation, college, parties, new friends ... Remember everything that was bright, good and bad. Resurrect all the events that have left a mark on your soul.

Go back to the present. Here you are in the position in which you are now, with the desire to die and cross out everything. Why? Begin to unwind the "tangle of memories" in reverse order. What events led to the current state? On a piece of paper, describe in stages everything that happened. For example:

  • wrong choice of profession;
  • unsuccessful marriage;
  • debts;
  • death of a loved one;
  • dissatisfaction with himself, his physical form, behavior, position in society;
  • frustration;
  • desire to die.

Everyone has their own "black list". Write it in stages, given the chronology of events. Now think about each of these points. Anyway, we live in the present. On paper, the past, which can be crossed out. Suppose you have chosen the wrong profession? Imagine that you have no specialty. What would you do? Think how it can be solved. Even a second higher education can be obtained at least 40 years old, not to mention all sorts of courses.

Debts and lack of money are what make families fall apart, people become disillusioned with life and accept the desire to leave it. Unfortunately, today the global crisis has affected most of the world's population. Virtually every resident of the country in which you live in a similar situation. Someone is worse off, someone is better, but on the whole, everyone also has debts to banks, private creditors, and pays a mortgage. You will never know what happens behind a closed door - who drinks, who loses everything in cards, and who is changed by a spouse with a more affluent man. You may still have relatively good results.

Money is just numbers on paper. Solve financial issues without emotions, like an equation from a school problem. All write in detail: here is the income, and here is the expense. Consider what options are there? To repay in installments every month, draw up a restructuring agreement in a bank, recharge? In the end, what can happen if you don’t pay? Worse than your death - nothing, believe me.

So consider each item from the list. In the column opposite, write the decision, and cross out the event itself and leave it in the past. If the reason for the death of a loved one, mark it with one word: "Humility." And contact a psychotherapist, as it is incredibly difficult to cope with this. But you need to fight!

Reasons for wanting to die

Severe circumstances and illnesses can trigger thoughts of death. The most common causes are:

  • financial difficulties, debts;
  • eating disorders;
  • depression;
  • psychical deviations;
  • alcoholism and drug addiction;
  • death of a loved one;
  • betrayal;
  • break love relationship;
  • social rejection;
  • fear of the future;
  • "domestic" violence, tyranny in the family;
  • adolescence, midlife crisis, menopause in women;
  • postpartum depression;
  • disability.

In all these cases, the best way is to contact a specialist. If for some reason this is not possible, then use the tips below.

Try to support your nervous system with herbal sedatives, vitamins and healthy sleep. The main thing is to understand that you do not want to be in such a state, and the desire to get out of it.

How to regain the desire to live?

You are aware of the reasons that led you to thoughts of death, and even understand what needs to be done. But there is no moral strength to go to work to pay off debts or there are no funds for the same psychotherapy. And there is depression, apathy, the thought that death will finally end all this hell. Stop! Try the following options:

  1. Physical activity. A lot of exhausting workouts in the gym, at the stadium, at home. Do not let yourself relax, engage through force.
  2. Put yourself in order. Apparently, the appearance you do not care. Perhaps you maintain yourself in a decent form for others, but now this is not enough. Go to the salon and radically change the image. New haircut and a different hair color - what you need!
  3. Fight depression. There is a psychiatrist in any clinic. Do not worry, now no one reports such a visit at the place of residence, to work, etc. At the annual honey. This also will not affect the commission. But you need help. And most likely, it will be not only psychotherapy, but also drug treatment. In the entire civilized world, this is normal practice. And you will feel "alive" during the first weeks of treatment.
  4. Get a pet that requires daily care. It is best to have a dog, as you need to walk a lot with it, often feeding and cleaning. In addition, she will always love you and never leave you. But if you like another animal, get at least a raccoon or capybara. The main thing is that a new friend takes a place not only in your home, but also in your heart.
  5. Motivate yourself. Watch inspirational films, read books. For example, the works of E. M. Remarque simply infect the desire to live! Read "Life on loan," "Shadows in Paradise," "Three Comrades." Please note that the characters are in difficult life circumstances, but they find a place of love and little joys.
  6. Try something new. Mastering new skills or a profession is a great option. Moreover, there are many online courses available on the Internet, many of them are free.
  7. Find a "support group" in your city or internet. Enter your problem in the search box and the name of the city, you may be able to find those who are in the same circumstances. Alcoholism, drug addiction, bulimia, tyranny and violence in the family, rejection in the team and other problems concern many people at different stages of life. You are not alone! Together with other people with a similar story, it will be much easier to get out.

Allow yourself to be reborn as a phoenix. Give yourself another chance. Go "to the next world" you can at any time. Why should this happen right now? Have you all made of what you once wanted? Did everyone see, taste, feel with the body? Live in order to fill your existence with pleasure. And just live!
