Who are workaholics

Diligence is a very good quality that many bosses appreciate. But when it goes into the form of pathology, workaholism begins. But the body is not an iron machine and will not forever serve you faithfully, unless you give it a rest. And sick employees, as you know, are not needed by anyone. According to many experts, the problem of workaholics is that they cannot harmoniously combine in their life such factors as work and rest.

• Workaholics occupy all their living space. If there is no work, anxiety appears. They steal time for food and sleep, ignore their family. After all, we must work! No time to rest! Even being on vacation, such a person would immediately come up with an occupation, in his head endlessly scrolling through plans, projects, upcoming talks
The surprise is the fact that workaholics never complain. But this does not mean that nothing bothers them. Simply, they are not accustomed to expressing their feelings and keep all the experiences inside. As a rule, as a result of such bullying, various diseases arise over oneself, especially psychosomatic illnesses occur frequently.
• Workaholics are people who cannot enjoy life and do not allow themselves to enjoy the results of their work. These are often altruists who are convinced that they do not live for themselves, but for others. And in support of this, they live modestly, for themselves they do not buy anything, although they can afford it. The motto of such a person: "I like myself while I work." As a rule, people exposed to workaholism unconsciously sacrifice themselves.
They earn money for their family, loved ones, but they themselves can not relax. They just have no time. Work takes their whole life. According to psychologists, this phenomenon is often susceptible to lonely people or those who are not valued and not noticed in the family. Lack of communication and attention from loved ones they replace active work.
• Workaholics most often grow families where they were older or only children. Parents of such children often told the baby that he is the oldest and therefore should be responsible, look after the younger ones. Or as all hopes of parents were assigned to the only child. Often workaholics grow up in families where the father or mother had some kind of addiction. In families where the father drank and offended the mother, the functions of an adult male were assigned to the boy.
These boys helped their mothers with the housework, protected her from the attacks of a drunken father, and earned money from her teens. Or they were very poor families, where the father and mother literally lived at work to somehow feed the family. Either these are children who were raised without a father. A single mother worked immensely, leaving her child without attention and proper upbringing. The negative experience of parents can push such a child to the decision that he should be strong and independent of life problems. Therefore, you need to work hard to achieve something.
What is the difference between a workaholic and a person who just loves to work? A hardworking person sets himself the task, for him the result of his work is important, in particular the material component. Workaholic is important the process of work itself, and not its result. Often, workaholics do not have a family and do not want to start it, because it can become a hindrance in work.
