What is depression and how to get out of it?


What is depression?


A lot of books and articles have been written on the topic of depression, but I still want to share the knowledge with the help of which I once stopped experiencing this extremely painful condition. I am also sure that it is always possible to get rid of depression without taking pills and droppers, unless it is an endogenous depressive disorder.
To begin with, let's define what is depression? There is little written about this, but this state is our choice! If you do not quite understand what I mean, then I will explain: only we ourselves decide whether we want to get depressed or not.

And so that everything is clear to you, as they say, in Russian, let's turn to the most common example, because of what people start to fall into depression and even end their lives by suicide. This is the so-called treason, or just parting with a loved one. That is, as an example, we will take the case when a woman ardently loved her partner for many years, and the latter unexpectedly left her.
But first think: why do some people then fall into a bad mood for many years, while others will burn for several months and live on? You say that the latter simply did not experience true love? By no means.

What is love?


From childhood, each child has its own unique concept of love. In other words, he creates in his head that image of a person (unconsciously), which will be for him the ideal person. And if in the future he meets people who are very similar to this image - he falls in love with them.

Why are people afraid of parting?


In Soviet times, many people were brainwashed with the help of children's fairy tales, films, TV shows that you only have one love in your life, and you should try your best to save it. That is why most people believe that if they fall in love, it will be forever, and now God forbid your half will leave you - this will be tantamount to losing the meaning of life.
In fact, everything is a little different. Try to answer yourself the question: how many people on Earth will fall under your children's image, which will seem to you an ideal? In other words, how many people can you really love?
You might say that you already love the one (s) alone? Well, but how do you know that there is no person in the world whom you will love even more? Did you check it in a practical way? No, because you are not physically capable of meeting all the people, not only on Earth, but even in your own country.
Based on this, we can conclude that love is multifaceted, and we should not be disastrously afraid of losing our so-called soulmate. Because there is no half, because we are all from birth are a holistic person. By the way, this is one of the reasons why people feel inferior. After all, no one wants to stay for a lifetime half, is not it?

How does depression occur?


So, we have already said that a long depressed mood is our choice. But I want to give another definition, in a narrower sense: depression is the lack of a vision of combinational options for the way forward.
In other words, if you broke up with your loved one, then it will seem to you that you are at an impasse, that you have nowhere else to go, which means that you also have no reason to live. From here you will gradually dive into depressive disorder.
But if you knew from the beginning that after a possible separation you would have several options for the further path in your life, then you would never be depressed. Because you would understand that there is no guarantee that you will never be lucky enough to meet your love. But if you start communicating with new people within a few months after leaving, you will have a very high chance of finding another person whom you will love.

What is chemical depression?


Surely you have already heard that this disorder is a consequence of the fall in serotonin in the brain. In fact, everything is the opposite - at first you are driving yourself to a dead end with your thoughts, but only then your serotonin begins to fall. Therefore, you can fully control the whole process at will and discretion.
The problem lies elsewhere: you are not yet able to do this, because you were not taught this in childhood and school. But remember: if you learn to see many options for the development of certain events - you will forget the word “Depression” forever.
Another example
Let's take a situation where you were told that you were expelled from the institute. Many people quickly become depressed for this reason, because, firstly, they are afraid to offend their parents, and secondly, they will not be able to get their profession. But, again, they do not see a way out of this situation at all, because since childhood these people were told that without a university, you are a complete zero. But excuse me, but where is this evidence, and in what law is it spelled out ?!
Therefore, you do not need to blindly believe this or that information until you are sure about it. And in the case of the institute, you can find many ways where you can be self-fulfilling in life. After all, there are a lot of people who have not even graduated from school, and then became successful businessmen, and having achieved this by legal means. And they do not have “that vein in the head”, which helped them to realize, no - they achieved everything on their own.
That is, if you know very well, and most importantly you love your job, then the absence of a crust at the institute will not be such an obstacle for you. Look now at the life on the Internet, and you will understand that all these crusts were needed only in the times of the USSR. And even then people sometimes did without them.
Always look for different ways in which you can find yourself in your business, and forget about the conventions and stereotypes, think flexibly and combinatorially. And then you will never need antidepressants. After all, these drugs only remove the symptoms of depression, but not its causes.
I hope that very briefly and almost squeezed out of the finger told you the basics that everyone should ideally know. And if you learn this information in your head, and most importantly - use it in practice, then you yourself will not notice how the depression “Bypassed you”. Although, forget the last 3 words, because we already know that depressive disorder is only our own choice! Always remember this, and with this knowledge you will live comfortably and diversely.
