Love and relationship

Jealousy is good or bad

Jealousy ... This feeling is familiar to anyone who has ever had a love relationship. Many couples are destroyed due to endless mutual recriminations and suspicions of treason. On the other hand, sometimes seemingly prosperous relationships become bland, boring. In this case, it is useful to make the partner a little bit jealous to revive the feelings. And yet: is jealousy good or bad?

When does jealousy destroy relationships?

Jealousy can destroy even the most loving couple. And all because the atmosphere in the relationship becomes difficult for both partners. There are three types of jealousy that lead to a rupture or other sad consequences:

  • Jealousy "low self-esteem."

If one of the partners underestimates himself, he subconsciously believes that he is not worthy of his chosen one. Therefore, he is more inclined to believe in treason partner than in his love. Also, an inferiority complex makes some people draw attention to themselves through jealousy. After all, low self-esteem does not allow a person to feel needed, loved. As a result, it seems to him that everything is better, smarter and more attractive than him. This serves as a basis for jealousy, which is accompanied by the fear of losing a loved one and remaining alone.

A person with low self-esteem persistently suspends himself and his partner. Sooner or later, such a relationship comes to an end.

  • Jealousy of the dictator.

Usually, this kind of jealousy originates in the relationship in which one of the partners suppresses the other, makes decisions alone, is used to directing and controlling the situation. Such an authoritarian style of behavior is characteristic of the participant of the "dictator-victim" relationship.

The dictator has the owner’s jealousy. He perceives his partner not as a separate person, but as something belonging to him. The owner usually does not suffer from low self-esteem, he is not particularly concerned about the feelings of the partner. But, if touched by what belongs to him, he will consider himself offended.

The dictator is jealous of his victim, not only to the guys (girls). This feeling extends to friends, girlfriends, hobbies, other activities with which the partner devotes his time. Naturally, such a relationship is doomed to failure. Constant control and pressure will not make anyone happy.

  • Jealousy cheater.

A person who himself is not able to remain faithful will always be suspected in the same partner. The pathological traitor is under constant stress. Still would! On the one hand, it is necessary to hide the traces of their adventures, but on the other hand they are doubted that he may also be deceived. Therefore, the one who changes himself will plague the partner with jealousy.

The jealousy of the traitor has another nature. Often, in order to hide his unseemly act, a person is inclined to blame another for it. This is a good diversion. A partner who is being terrorized by jealousy attacks will be the last to be suspected of treason against his chosen one.

"How much the string does not twist, it will end anyway," proverb says. Sooner or later, the true reason for such jealousy will open, and then the relationship will end.

What are the types of jealousy?

The jealousy of a man and a woman has a different nature. This is quite a normal feeling, it appears from childhood. Consider the characteristics of each of these cases:

  1. Women's jealousy. Girls pay significant attention to the emotional part of the relationship, so they are more concerned about the feelings of a partner. According to statistics, women often forgive the random sexual adventures of their chosen ones. But if a man fell out of love and started a long relationship on the side, his girlfriend would not forgive him.
  2. Men's jealousy. A man will forgive his darling a light passion, flirting and even love. But he is unlikely to forgive sexual contact with another man. It doesn't matter if it is a casual relationship or relationship on the side. After bodily contact with another girl becomes defiled for her man, while causing him a serious insult. Not everyone is able to cope with the feelings and forgive the betrayal of his beloved.
  3. Sibling rivalry. Children are small owners. Every child believes that the world revolves only around him. Therefore, it is often possible to observe in a children's team how a child is jealous of his friends towards each other. When a baby is tied to one of his parents, he will in every way try to occupy himself with all his free time. In this case, jealousy will manifest itself in the form of whims, when mom or dad are busy with their business and do not pay attention to the child.

When does jealousy benefit?

In a long-established relationship, emotions often become not so bright, passion subsides. Jealousy can make a piquant touch in a "bland", boring relationship. This is especially true for couples. It is useful to allow yourself to flirt with the opposite sex so that your chosen one is always in good shape.

If you see that your partner has lost interest in you, jealousy can make him remember his feelings. After all, we often forget that love needs constant nourishment. New emotions, sensations, care are needed. Have you noticed that your partner started to treat you worse, thinks that you will not get away from him? Make him jealous, and he will remember your meaning in his life.

Jealousy can motivate new achievements, self-improvement. A jealous woman pays more attention to her partner, her appearance, because she needs to surpass her rivals! This feeling helps to look at oneself, to identify and eliminate shortcomings, to keep yourself in good shape. The man also, experiencing jealousy, becomes more caring and attentive to his partner.

Jealousy is an absolutely normal feeling. Problems arise where people do not know how to negotiate among themselves, lie to each other, do not control emotions. Learn to control yourself and think rationally! Jealousy can add a twist to your relationship if you want it!
