How to plan time?

It’s quite difficult to consciously plan your life. After all, by doing this and then carrying out the planned, you fully take responsibility for your life and your future, for your success, etc. etc. How often can you hear phrases like "I do not plan for more than six months ahead," "How do I know what will happen in two years," "We will see ...", "Life will show ..." and many others.

"To people who do not know what they want from life, life can show what it does to people who do not know what they want from it" =) In the Soviet Union, it was very simple. It was clearly understood that a person was waiting ahead: birth, school, university, distribution to work, factory / collective farm / production, pension, death. At the same time, the majority of decisions have already been made by the party and the state.

Today at the start it is no longer clear what is clear. It seems to me that it is very important that parents raise a gaze into the future in a child, teach him to design and build with his own hands, and not to shift the responsibility to abstract "time", "fate", "life", which once should be there something then someone show or define.

How to understand if I plan the time correctly?
Answer the following questions honestly:
  • Do I have long-term goals and a rough plan for their implementation?
  • Do I conduct a systematic review of the tasks that arise in my field of activity?
  • Do I know how much time is needed to carry out the tasks ahead?
  • Do I have a clear task plan for today?
  • Do I foresee reserve time for unforeseen problems, crises and obstacles?
  • Do I continue to work in the evenings?
  • Do I have a feeling that I was "drowned in trifles"?
  • Do I often hurry?

If you answered yes to most of the questions, then most likely you have problems in the field of planning. What to do ?
The next question you may have:

Is it possible to learn to plan time more effectively?

Effective planning is not easy to learn. Even those who are seriously and thoroughly engaged in this cannot give an absolute guarantee that everything works out for them. Learn to plan time not only possible, but necessary. Remember: your time is in your hands, and by learning how to plan time, you can change not only your career, but also your life for the better.
How to make a plan correctly?
A good plan must meet certain requirements:
  1. There should be no impossible cases in the list of your tasks.
  2. Properly consider the complexity of each specific task, time and other costs of its implementation.
  3. Provide time to fix for an emergency, and also calculate the time to perform a task.
  4. Clearly prioritize each of the planned tasks (start with the most difficult and important)

Should I plan privacy and leisure?

It often seems to us that being successful in work is the main task in life. But, putting success in work in the first place, we forget that if a person does not develop as a creative person, does not feel meaningful, needed, rested, then soon social successes at work will either be repeated, or disappear, and work will seem boring.
It’s just that this doesn’t happen and you just need to plan your personal life, health, interpersonal relations - all this just makes your life harmonious. It's like a big ship, it should be without cracks, otherwise, in the end, it will crumble into small pieces.
There are rules to improve the efficiency of self-government
  • Do not take up many cases in one day
  • For the current day, plan 2 - 3 priority and 4 - 5 less important tasks.
  • To start the day with more complex, important and less enjoyable things, And to finish it - more simple and pleasant
  • Daily leave a time margin of 20–30% for previously unforeseen cases.
  • Do not do the tasks yourself, if you can assign them to someone
  • Do not take up the NEW TASK without completing it

What general conclusion can be drawn from these rules? It is quite simple: a good organization of work is the key to success in the struggle for time!
