Basics and differences of motivation and inspiration

The technique described in this article is widely distributed throughout the world. If you begin to apply this knowledge with your subordinates, management, with children and spouses, your life will change drastically. You can inspire and motivate people.

Introduction

The conversation will begin with the word that characterizes the whole science. Science, dedicated to motivation and inspiration. This science is called - coaching. If you type this word on the Internet, you will get thousands of different definitions. True interpretation of the word and in fact very much. But the best definition is where it is said that coaching is the awakening of pure genius in every person. I noticed this 5 years ago, when I started teaching coaching, that when you look at people as geniuses, everything in your life also starts changing. When I began to look at my friends as geniuses, they began to change, they began to believe in themselves. They began to be inspired and believe in themselves. After talking with me, they began to remember their childhood dreams. For example, they began to draw. There were other cases. For example, when you look at them as geniuses, people start to create their own business, start to sell better, start to have greater success in relationships.

Coaching - this is, first of all, the science of how we look at people. If you want to inspire someone, then you need to understand that inspiration and motivation are two completely different phenomena. See people as geniuses if you want to inspire them. Perhaps this thought will help you realize the following parable about what kind of eyes you need to look at a person if you want to inspire him to succeed, win and achieve, and make him the one who goes to his dream and leads others.

Motivation and inspiration - the main directions of coaching.

Each person is unique, and if you see his genius in each person, the inner genius begins to awaken inside. You can be a source of inspiration and motivation for other people. You will be more effective and useful if you remember that each person came into this world and was born a genius. Mr. Fuller says that only the number of injuries suffered in childhood distinguishes a genius from an ordinary person. And if we can recover from our injuries, get rid of them, if we can look deep into ourselves - amazing, wonderful, unusual, talented people, and let our gifts grow, then at some point our inner genius will begin to come out. And we can start sharing our gifts and talents.

But often, most people need help with this. Because thanks to our parents, educators, grandparents, thanks to our life experience, brothers and sisters, teachers at school, professors at the institute, many of us have forgotten that they are brilliant and amazing. What can be noticed by watching people who are doing something great is that they know that they are brilliant. But we all came to this world in the same conditions, before us all once had the same prospects, but only our life experience is different. If we can get rid of the old experience, accept it, thank for what it was, get rid of the shackles that prevent us from creating the life of our dreams, then we can achieve everything.

If you want to start helping other people, then it doesn't matter what you do. You are the president of a country or the owner of a company or your own business, or you are a sales or personnel director, or a head of the logistics department, or a person who performs simple ordinary work and is not subordinate to anyone but communicates with guests and customers of the company, or you are just a parent - you can become a source of inspiration and motivation for people.

Do not confuse motivation and inspiration.. Many people confuse these words, and many think that this is the same thing.

Motivation - this is what is applied from the outside, it is an artificial tool.

Motivation is very similar to a broken switch. When we go into the dark room, we feel for the switch with our hands, we press - and the light comes on, but if we remove the hand - it goes out. The switch is broken. And in order for the light to reappear, we need to recall it, consciously raise a hand, press and hold. And then the light will burn. Motivation also works exactly as much as we consciously turn it on. But the question is - is it stronger, our conscious or our unconscious? At some point, the unconscious wins, and then the motivation stops working.

This article will be read by many employees of network companies. They know more than anyone else that in their offices there are always a lot of announcements about contests, competitions, promotions. There is always the same scheme, where it says that if you make a certain number of sales, or bring a certain number of people, then you will receive a bonus from the company - a gift or a trip. Many are really involved in the competition and start working in fact more efficiently and bring higher than usual results. Many win money, cars, travel. But the question arises - will this person, when he returns from a won trip, work in the same way as during participation in a competition? - Not! Now he needs a new prize. We need a new competition, we need a new promotion. You need something new, presented from the outside, forcing a person to work. And here comes the question of inspiration.

Inspiration - this is what comes from within.

Inspiration is an inexhaustible source of energy. Inspiration is what makes our soul sing. This is what makes you jump in the middle of the night, turn on the computer and start creating or picking up a sheet of paper, a brush, and starting to paint. Inspiration is something that can make you stand in the middle of the night and start embroidering. Inspiration is what comes from within. We need both motivation and inspiration for success in life, because motivation alone is not enough. There are routine projects when one inspiration is not enough.

For example, writing a book is a big project with a length of several months, at least, or even several years. If we rely on inspiration alone, this will not be enough, because the magnitude of this project is so big that it frightens us, repels and makes us small. In this case, the motivation will help us: clear deadlines, people before whom we are accountable may be a contract concluded with the publisher, and even, the amount of money paid to us as a prepayment. Then, we can combine inspiration with motivation and really move mountains.

It is very important to understand the difference here between inspiration and motivation, to understand that on one motivation you will not go far. There are many cases in network companies where people, after a few years of receiving trips and other prizes, ran out of steam. Already nothing motivated them, no new country was impressive, no money prize was interesting for them, since they have already earned as much as they wanted, they have already traveled the whole world. Then the presidents of the companies start asking the question how to motivate these people to continue working. The answer is very simple - you need to inspire people. We need to help people find the answer to the questions: "Why? Why am I doing this? Why am I doing this? How does my work help my services to other people?" Because it is the answers to these questions in the context of other people, and not one’s beloved who is carrying on his ego, that helps us to find a higher meaning or a higher meaning of our occupation. And then the person acts continuously. In business, you must use motivation, agreement, accountability. But business will be most successful when there is inspiration and understanding of the benefits that your work brings.
