Cheer up at home

If you decide to get rid of sadness and melancholy, but you still have no strength to leave your home and leave your familiar place, use our list of home entertainment activities:

  1. Listen to fun, energetic music. No, your social network playlist will not work: for sure during your melancholy he has amassed a fair amount of tearful songs, so leave it until best times. Find on the Internet a selection of dance novelties, turn on the speakers to the fullest and enjoy! Maybe you can even dance a little, it can greatly improve your mood.
  2. Watch the best comedy of last year. Just before that, read the reviews, read the ratings, otherwise watching an unsuccessful comedy could plunge you into even greater depression. For maximum effect, invite your best friend or loved one to watch a comedy so that you can have a good laugh.
  3. Get creative. Art therapy is one of the most effective means that can dispel melancholy. No matter what you do: drawing, origami or knitting - the main thing is that it brings you positive emotions. If you are sure that you do not have a creative beginning at all, find on the Internet some master class on making children's crafts or snowflakes for the New Year, you will surely master it. The workflow will force you to switch and put gloomy thoughts out of your head.
  4. Read a good book. Recommendations can be found on thematic sites or ask friends. Even if it seems to you that this does not help, and in general, even if you are not a fan of literature, try reading a couple of pages before going to bed. Even a boring book can have a positive effect - you can even fall asleep faster.
  5. Call your parents or close friends. Heart-to-heart talk is the best medicine for any moral discord. Express your thoughts to the interlocutor, share with him the hidden things, and it will definitely become easier for you. The best option is to talk face to face over a cup of tea, not by phone. Live communication will help you get out of the shell into which you have driven yourself.
  6. Set an achievable goal and follow it. Goal setting is very motivating, so try to come up with a goal that you want to achieve at all costs. For example, lose a few pounds before the holidays: and the mood will improve, and you will look at all 100%!

We leave from the house

If you have managed to improve your mood at least a little while sitting at home, you can try more effective ways that involve other places.

  1. Take a walk in the near park. Fresh air invigorates, walking wakes up the body. Take friends with you or take the promenade alone - do what you like best. The main thing - get out of the house, change the situation. New impressions will help you to tune in a positive way. Watch other people feed the ducks in the pond. Feel free and happy.
  2. Go on a date. This may be a trip to a cafe with your half or the first meeting with a partner on the Internet correspondence. Pleasant society and the desire to please will do their work: you will forget about your sadness and start flirting, you'll see! A flirt causes the production of endorphins - the hormones of joy. Well, why not a cure for a bad mood?
  3. Go to the gym. Physical activity acts on the body as laundry detergent on dirty laundry: they not only get rid of excess weight, toxins and toxins, but also help to throw off negative energy from themselves. For more effect, you can choose a dance lesson: flowing movements to the music will make you switch to a completely different emotional wave.
  4. Treat yourself: go shopping. Get yourself the first thing you like and do not reproach yourself for spending, because they will pay off your joy from new clothes. Of course, you should not abuse this tool, but sometimes you can afford it (within reasonable limits!)

Prevention of sadness

So that next time you do not look for ways to improve your mood, try to change your attitude to life events and look at what is happening in a more positive way:

      • In each event, look for advantages for yourself (for example, on the way home after work you did not have time to jump into the departing minibus and went on foot, but you could enjoy the beautiful sunset and went to the grocery store on the way);
      • A great idea to learn to appreciate what you have: get a small notebook where you can write three things before bedtime every night for which you are grateful for the past day;
      • Try not to disrupt your bad mood on your close people: a minute relief will soon turn into shame for your lack of restraint, which can only aggravate your melancholy.

The main advice: in any difficult situation, behave with dignity, do not fall into depression and do not hysterics. The release of emotions will not provide a solution to the problem. In order to neutralize the source of negative experiences, it is necessary, first of all, to solve the problem, and not indulge in gloomy thoughts. Be strong and consistent, and then you no longer have to be sad and try to cheer yourself.
