Life is short or how not to be left with nothing

Life is short. For most, it lasts only an hour or two. And it's not a joke. What does it mean to live? Enjoy the moment, take advantage of opportunities, enjoy the little things. What happens in reality? People are in a hurry somewhere, chasing something ghostly, soaring thoughts in the past or the future, but not in the present.

It turns out that a person has 3-8 dozen people behind him, and he has only lived for a couple of hours. How to live so as not to regret the lost time? What to look for, so as not to suffer from heartache, midlife crisis and inferiority?

Develop talents

Technical, artistic, social - it does not matter. To ignore your skills, abilities, even at the stage of their birth, means not to accept a part of yourself. If there is a talent, it is for something needed, useful. In addition, the developed abilities make a person more interesting, improve it. Not everyone will play the violin, show a card trick, even sit on the splits. This is manifested originality, highlight.

In the future, this knowledge can be adopted by other people - children, grandchildren, receivers, students. And the transfer of such an inheritance, the preservation of the memory of oneself is already part of the meaning of life. How to develop your talents:

  • walk in sections, circles, at lectures;
  • learn from others;
  • practice frequently;
  • watch educational videos, read thematic literature, watch those who have already developed an interesting skill;
  • do not stop if something does not work;
  • take a break to rest;
  • follow safety instructions if the activity involves a risk;
  • show success to others, adequately perceive constructive criticism.

Clear thoughts and feelings

Envy, anger, resentment, jealousy, spleen, depression, other negative emotions kill valuable time. Those years that remain are noticeably reduced, as the negative shortens life. What better to stop doing right now:

  • complain without doing anything;
  • see only the bad side in everything;

It is better to surround yourself with a positive, give it back, open up to others, believe in the best. With this approach, life will bring more joy, good moments, will be remembered by vivid memories.

Listen and hear yourself

Intuition is often underestimated, and in vain. It is advisable to listen to the inner feeling. It is able to suggest the right path, to protect from heavy mistakes, to give a rare chance. The business partner is not credible, although there are no mistakes behind it, is everything too perfect? It is better to check the information about it again, so as not to fall into the trap. It seems that everything is fine in a relationship, but does it scrape cats? You can talk with a partner, try to find out the truth from him.

The only framework is adequacy. It is not a good idea to put huge sums on the racetrack just because it seems that today is a good day. Fanaticism is the opposite extreme of distrust of oneself; it is also negative. How to learn to listen, understand yourself:

  • look for objective reasons for the arisen emotions;
  • meditate;

Do not kill a child

It is difficult to disagree with the fact that kids know how to notice, to feel the joys of life better than adults. This is the main reason why it is so important to keep a piece of childishness in yourself. No, this is not about infantilism. Being a child at heart does not mean shifting responsibilities, avoiding responsibility. The concept of “preserve childhood” includes:

  • be attentive to good, positive, the slightest pleasant surprises;
  • be able to relax, forget about problems for a while;
  • to seek rest in activity, useful activities, and not in alcohol or other harmful habits;
  • to strive for development, understanding that it is possible to study at any age;
  • cultivate selflessness;
  • Express your emotions, talk openly about love or what upsets you;
  • encourage yourself with small rewards;
  • be open to the world, people;
  • learn from mistakes, learn from other people's knowledge;
  • quickly forget about the bad.

Sometimes it is useful to fool around, be a little free from worries. However, the balance between “I am a child” and “I am an adult” is no less important.

Recognize yourself

Not all women are created to continue the race. Not all men are meant solely for hard work. The qualities of a person are revealed in his behavior, his attitude to life, and not in the cliches imposed by society.

Example. If a girl realizes that she does not want children, her dream is a successful career, why should she break herself? What happens if she begins to step over her desires, bend under the onslaught of others? She will give birth to a child who cannot be given warmth, love. Then fall into depression due to the lack of self-realization. In parallel, she will start quarreling with her husband (if he will be at all), spoil life for herself, man, and child.

Does the situation seem bloated, exaggerated? Then where does postpartum depression, abandoned children, attention deficit disorder come from? Each has its own purpose, which is better not to close behind seven locks, if you want happiness.

Try, even if scary

Fear is the body's natural reaction to help avoid danger. This emotion justifies itself when it comes to the instinct of self-preservation. However, in other matters the value of fear is too exaggerated. If a person is afraid to go to work, he is 25, he has long been begging money for mom's cigarettes - this is shame.

This feeling often separates people from their happiness. Fears of not being liked, of being defeated, of putting oneself at ridicule immensely inhibit, serve as excess ballast. How to overcome them:

  1. present a situation that causes panic;
  2. to think that the worst can happen in case of failure;
  3. to accept the possibility of mistakes (sometimes the very idea of ​​failure seems much worse than losing itself);
  4. understand what can be lost if you do nothing, trusting fear;
  5. determine what will happen if in the end everything ends with success;
  6. find or create personal motivation for action;
  7. decide on the act, overcoming fear.

If this scheme does not work, then the problem lies deeper than it seems. In such cases, it is better to contact a psychotherapist.

Balancing thoughts and actions

What is more important - thoughts or actions? Important and thoughts about the causes, themselves, the world, and active steps. The symbiosis of theory and practice is unbreakable, so the balance between these two parts plays a big role. How to create it:

  • to think about the causes, consequences, but not about whether there is enough power, if it will work out or not, it will say actions;
  • try to study the situation deeply, but do not delay the affairs;
  • not to commit impulsive acts that threaten the health and life;
  • learn from others' examples;
  • create plans, schedules, but do not retreat if something goes against them;
  • to feed steps with cheering words;
  • to turn unsuccessful results of actions into experience with the help of thoughts.

Life is short - this is an indisputable fact. That is why it is important to take from it to the maximum. However, this phrase is better to add: in life it would be good to try everything that does not shorten its duration. Drugs, smoking, and other health-threatening factors are the burning of one's age, not pleasure. But the study of languages, travel, spiritual development, even light adventures will bring novelty, turn into good memories. Then, looking back, it will be possible to say with confidence that the past years were not in vain.
