A man is happy when he spends time doing what he loves. Simple, isn't it? You do not need to be a great philosopher to discover this dependence. Unfortunately, everyday life is full of actions and commitments that bring more nerves than joy. Such is the fate of a modern person: work, race and many responsibilities, sometimes completely unnecessary, but always accompanying us along the way through life.
That is why, from time to time, we need small reminders of what is really important and useful in the struggle for happiness. There are several things that (if we do it regularly) are of great benefit to every person, regardless of wealth, social status or place of residence. Let's look at them in more detail.
1. Set aside technology.
We live in a world where everyone is filled with modern technology. Almost everyone has a mobile phone in his pocket, thanks to which he can check his mail at any time and look at the selected site. We have great opportunities. But don't they immerse our mind in a kind of fog? Maybe you feel that you are beginning to slowly work and think on the machine. If so, do yourself a favor and set aside all the gadgets for a while. Do not check every minute messages, do not immediately reply to unimportant messages. Just put your gear in the drawer and ... enjoy life.
2. Spend time in the company.
Contacts and communication with other people is the only way to maintain connections between you. The communication opportunities that smartphones, social networks and the Internet carry are truly wonderful. But they will not replace personal meetings and contacts in reality, get-togethers for a cup of coffee or a walk. Get ready to spend more time with family and friends. Not just chatting, but also in the bar or in the park.
3. Think before you act.
Mobile phones, sms and all sorts of communication contribute to the fact that people communicate with each other faster than before. More and more statements are ill-conceived, and even completely unnecessary or devoid of meaning. If you want to keep abreast of the times, you must be able to respond quickly. It's great to be in the know, learn about important matters. Unfortunately, most of the messages that come to you are of no importance; this is ordinary spam. So instead of frantically searching for ways to keep up with the rest, give yourself time to think. You will probably be more satisfied with your relationships with other people, if your statements reach the appropriate level.
4. Slightly slower.
Everyone is trying to run ahead of themselves. People have specific goals and everything is constantly moving in their direction. More and more people live according to the scheme and plan. Looking for goals, because without them they feel lost and helpless. We have to do something, to strive for something. Go to work, school, home, to a party or to study. Of course, everything is done "at the time." You are not letting yourself wander aimlessly, because deadlines and deadlines are tight. You must reach the place as soon as possible. And can you afford to just get on a regular walk? No goal and no time limit? Take a look around. You will probably find things that until now have simply not been noticed.
5. Read books.
This refers to real, paper books. The true value of the book is that reading requires more intellectual and emotional involvement than a movie or other entertainment. Books help develop intellectually and spiritually.
6. Write with a pen, not on the keyboard.
Printing on a computer has a huge advantage over manual writing. Text can be printed, emailed and easily transformed. Scribble on paper requires more effort, but also allows you to maintain a reliable connection with the recorded words. In addition, there is nothing more beautiful than a handwritten love letter, a verse with kind words for native people. Of course, you can print a note, but it will not be the same.
7. Remember leisure.
Even if your calendar is strung like a string on a harp, you have to find time for a drop of laziness. Do not forget that rest is an integral part of any work. Not a moment of peace - there is no effective work. Even a few minutes of inactivity can be life-saving for you.
8. Keep quiet for a while.
People do not like silence, and often try to fill the pause with words. Sometimes you need to remain silent, just not expecting anything, and sometimes you just need to listen. Listeners and silent people are the best interlocutors, because they concentrate their efforts on understanding their loved ones. The ability to listen has therapeutic properties (and it is not at all necessary to study psychology for this).
9. Sometimes sleep a little longer.
If you are well rested, you work more efficiently, you become happier, and your decisions are balanced and rational. Your mind needs a dream in order to cope with all the information received during the day. He should have time to "digest" the problems and tasks of everyday life. Once every few days, allow yourself to sleep a little longer; at least an hour You will quickly see the difference.
10. Take care of well-being.
Multiple contacts, obligations, accounts and social conventions make decisions for us. People do not want to stand out, and at the same time want to be noticed. They associate their actions with external factors, such as money, success and wealth. In pursuit of environmental approval, many people forget their feelings and needs. Do not make the same mistake. If you do not take care of yourself, then sooner or later you will feel how your life has been burnt and turned into ashes. Put your well-being in the first place, and try to live well. Every day is a one-time opportunity.
