How to find your way in life: 6 tips on finding a vocation

On the search for a vocation they say: "Just follow the call of your heart!" And it is not always pleasant to hear this. Of course, I would follow my vocation - to know only what it is.
Questions about their purpose are most often asked by those who work a lot, hard and hard. When they know what they are doing, nothing can stop them. The problem is that sometimes you can choose the wrong start. If you feel yourself in a similar position, let me offer you several new ways to find your way in life and feel yourself in your place.

Choose the right perspective.
Consider an example. You come to the restaurant convinced that you can not choose anything good for yourself. “I'm not hungry,” you say to yourself. "And there is absolutely nothing to eat here. I don’t even want to be here." Naturally, with this approach, the restaurant menu is unlikely to seem attractive. The same principle works when searching for a vocation. If you are convinced that it will not be easy to find him, or that this will never happen at all, then you will remain closed to many possibilities. You will unknowingly block all signals that the world sends. In the end, how can you find the cause of your whole life, if you don’t believe that it exists in principle?
Master the installation for yourself that finding a favorite thing is real. The easiest way to do this is to surround yourself with living examples. Let those who follow their vocation be with you. If there are few such friends and relatives, make new acquaintances with those people who will inspire you.
Perform a mini-search vocation test.
  • What can I talk about tirelessly?
  • Who do I admire and why?
  • What do I always like to learn new things about?
  • What would you like to do during your life?
  • What difficulties and problems can I solve best?

Follow your desires.
The expressions “to find my own way in life” and “to follow the call of the heart” have long since passed into the category of rhetorical. Instead of thinking about a dizzying career or a huge project, concentrate on small, but realistic steps. Ask yourself: what can inspire me right now? Then do it, and follow your next wish, and then the next, and so on. Have fun, as do small children.
After all, they are always in the present moment. They are fully present in the here and now, playing in the sandbox. Having played enough, they immediately go to another lesson, which is interesting to them. They are always in harmony with what they are doing. That is why you should reconsider your relationship with your "inner child." Do what you like and see what comes out of it.

Pay attention to what annoys you or causes envy.
Look more closely at the people who cause you resentment. Perhaps behind this annoyance is actually a desire to live the same life as they do?

Expand your "comfort zone".
If you want to find your way, it's time to try new things. They may seem frightening, but otherwise it will be difficult to find a vocation. Challenge yourself. Growth and development never happen in limited conditions, when a person makes the same route every day from home to work and back. Try new things, get a hobby that you have long dreamed of, take risky steps.
Look at the concept of life path wider.
Many people understand by vocation the one and only occupation that makes a person happy. However, for all its depth, this definition may be limiting. Being engaged in dozens of years in the same way, a person is capable of not even suspecting that his mission lies in a completely different sphere - and perhaps not in one.
If you spend your precious time on a job that doesn’t bring satisfaction, it can cause boredom, frustration or depression. However, life is a fascinating journey, not a trip from one point to another. And this route can always be changed at your discretion. When you find out what your vocation is, then life becomes harmonious and fruitful. Having found your way, you can also significantly change your career and raise the level of well-being.
